RELA is proud to announce that our Assess 2.0 project has received funding support from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), enabling us to deliver free, independent land assessments at scale – helping landowners make more informed decisions about renewable energy projects on their land.
The funding will support the development of a new self-service digital platform that gives landowners transparent insights into the renewable energy potential of their land. The platform will integrate new data layers and farm planning features, helping landowners understand how wind and solar projects could co-exist with their agricultural operations and broader land use plans.
RELA’s Chief of Product, Stuart Gourley, said “RELA Assess laid the foundation for landowners to understand the renewable energy potential of their properties – a first in the market. With Assess 2.0, we’re taking this to the next level by incorporating more data layers, automating assessments and introducing farm plan mapping technology. This will help landowners make faster, more informed decisions while ensuring their land use priorities are reflected from the outset.”
ARENA CEO Darren Miller said the project would help strengthen landholder participation in the energy transition:
